Boswellia serrata, Indian frankincense, yields a gum resin rich in boswellic acids including AKBA, long used in Ayurvedic practice. How to Use / Dosage
- Typical daily intake: 300-1,000 mg/day of 65% boswellic acid extract (100-250 mg/day of phospholipid complex)
- Typical use level: 10-60% in capsule fills and tablets; 1-5% in gummies and powders
- Formulation tip: Blend with standard lubricants (e.g. 0.5–1% magnesium stearate) and compress directly.
- Weigh accurately and pre-blend small quantities with a carrier (e.g. maltodextrin, MCC or rice flour) for uniform distribution.
- Final dosage should be based on the lot-specific Certificate of Analysis, the target serving size and the rules of your destination market.
