Copper sulfate is an economical inorganic copper source used in infant formula, food fortification and mineral premixes. It is supplied as blue pentahydrate or anhydrous grades.
Supplied as a mineral salt / chelate for supplement, premix and fortification use; elemental mineral content is declared on the CoA.

How to Use / Dosage
- Typical daily intake: 1–3 mg/day copper (pentahydrate ~25% Cu)
- Typical use level: 0.005–0.2% in premixes and fortified foods
- Formulation tip: Calculate dosage on elemental mineral content (see CoA), not on total salt weight.
- Weigh accurately and pre-blend small quantities with a carrier (e.g. maltodextrin, MCC or rice flour) for uniform distribution.
- Final dosage should be based on the lot-specific Certificate of Analysis, the target serving size and the rules of your destination market.

Storage & Handling
Store tightly closed in a cool, dry place (below 25 °C) protected from moisture and light.. Keep container tightly closed; use clean, dry utensils. Shelf life is typically 24 months in unopened original packaging (see CoA).
Regulatory Note
Permitted copper source in EU supplements and foods (Directive 2002/46/EC / Reg. 1925/2006) and in US dietary supplements. Verify maximum levels in destination market. Copper sulfate is GRAS (21 CFR 184.1261).
Diet suitability: Generally vegetarian. This product is supplied as a raw ingredient for further manufacturing and is not a finished consumer product. The buyer is responsible for ensuring the ingredient, its use level and all label claims comply with the regulations of the destination market (e.g. FDA, EFSA, FSSAI, Health Canada, TGA).

- US UL 10 mg/day; EFSA UL 5 mg/day copper
- Not suitable for people with Wilson's disease
- High-dose zinc lowers copper status; balance zinc:copper ratio (~10–15:1)
- Excess may cause nausea and GI upset
- Concentrate is harmful if swallowed and irritant – handle with PPE; toxic to aquatic life
