- Iron tablets and capsules
- Liquid iron tonics and syrups
- Effervescent tablets
- Prenatal multivitamins
- Fortified beverages
- Multimineral premixes
How to Use / Dosage
- Typical daily intake: Typically 20–60 mg/day elemental iron (ferrous gluconate provides ~11–12% Fe)
- Typical use level: 0.1–1% in powders and premixes; used as colour stabiliser in olives at GMP; 20–60% in iron tablet cores
- Formulation tip: Calculate dosage on elemental mineral content (see CoA), not on total salt weight.
- Weigh accurately and pre-blend small quantities with a carrier (e.g. maltodextrin, MCC or rice flour) for uniform distribution.
- Final dosage should be based on the lot-specific Certificate of Analysis, the target serving size and the rules of your destination market.
