Calcium hydroxyapatite is the principal mineral of bone and teeth, supplied as synthetic hydroxyapatite or as microcrystalline hydroxyapatite (MCHC) from bovine or marine bone. It delivers calcium and phosphorus in a bone-like matrix.

How to Use / Dosage

  • Typical daily intake: 250–1,000 mg/day elemental calcium (~30–39% Ca depending on source)
  • Typical use level: 20–80% in tablets and capsules; 1–10% in oral care formulas
  • Formulation tip: Calculate dosage on elemental mineral content (see CoA), not on total salt weight.
  • Weigh accurately and pre-blend small quantities with a carrier (e.g. maltodextrin, MCC or rice flour) for uniform distribution.
  • Final dosage should be based on the lot-specific Certificate of Analysis, the target serving size and the rules of your destination market.

Storage & Handling

Store tightly closed in a cool, dry place (below 25 °C) protected from moisture and light.. Keep container tightly closed; use clean, dry utensils. Shelf life is typically 24 months in unopened original packaging (see CoA).

Hydroxyapatite is used as a calcium source in supplements in the US; EU listing depends on form (calcium salts of orthophosphoric acid) and nano-hydroxyapatite in cosmetics is restricted. Verify status in destination market.
