Copper gluconate is a water-soluble, light blue copper salt of gluconic acid and the most common copper form in US supplements. It is also used in breath-freshening oral care products.

Supplied as a mineral salt / chelate for supplement, premix and fortification use; elemental mineral content is declared on the CoA.

How to Use / Dosage

• Typical daily intake: 1–3 mg/day copper (~14% Cu)
• Typical use level: 0.01–0.5% in multimineral blends; 0.1–1% in oral care
• Formulation tip: Calculate dosage on elemental mineral content (see CoA), not on total salt weight.
• Weigh accurately and pre-blend small quantities with a carrier (e.g. maltodextrin, MCC or rice flour) for uniform distribution.
• Final dosage should be based on the lot-specific Certificate of Analysis, the target serving size and the rules of your destination market.

Solubility & Formulation

Soluble in water; slightly soluble in ethanol; insoluble in oils

Storage & Handling

Store tightly closed in a cool, dry place (below 25 °C) protected from moisture and light.. Keep container tightly closed; use clean, dry utensils. Shelf life is typically 24 months in unopened original packaging (see CoA).

Regulatory Note

Permitted copper source in EU supplements and foods (Directive 2002/46/EC / Reg. 1925/2006) and in US dietary supplements. Verify maximum levels in destination market. Copper gluconate is GRAS (21 CFR 184.1260).

• Not suitable for people with Wilson's disease
• High-dose zinc lowers copper status; balance zinc:copper ratio (~10–15:1)
