How to Use / Dosage

• Typical daily intake: 6–15 mg/day beta-carotene (60–150 mg of 10% powder)
• Typical use level: 0.5–5% in capsules/tablets; 0.01–0.2% as colour in foods
• Weigh accurately and pre-blend small quantities with a carrier (e.g. maltodextrin, MCC or rice flour) for uniform distribution.
• Final dosage should be based on the lot-specific Certificate of Analysis, the target serving size and the rules of your destination market.

Storage & Handling

Beta-carotene from Dunaliella salina is an authorised EU colour (E160a(iv)) and permitted in food supplements; used as a dietary ingredient in the US. EFSA advises against high-dose beta-carotene supplements for smokers. Verify in the destination market.
