How to Use / Dosage

  • Typical daily intake: 150–250 µg/day iodine (KI ~76% I)
  • Typical use level: Microgram-level: used as 1% triturations; <0.01% of finished product
  • Formulation tip: Calculate dosage on elemental mineral content (see CoA), not on total salt weight.
  • Weigh accurately and pre-blend small quantities with a carrier (e.g. maltodextrin, MCC or rice flour) for uniform distribution.
  • Final dosage should be based on the lot-specific Certificate of Analysis, the target serving size and the rules of your destination market.

Storage & Handling

Store tightly closed in a cool, dry, dark place; protect from light and moisture.. Keep container tightly closed; use clean, dry utensils. Shelf life is typically 24 months in unopened original packaging (see CoA).

Regulatory Note

Potassium iodide is GRAS in the US (21 CFR 184.1634) and permitted in EU supplements and foods (Directive 2002/46/EC, Reg. 1925/2006). Verify iodine maximums in destination market.
