How to Use / Dosage

  • Typical daily intake: 14–30 mg/day elemental iron (ferric orthophosphate ~28–30% Fe)
  • Typical use level: 0.01–0.2% in fortified cereals, flours and pasta; 5–30% in tablet blends
  • Formulation tip: Calculate dosage on elemental mineral content (see CoA), not on total salt weight.
  • Weigh accurately and pre-blend small quantities with a carrier (e.g. maltodextrin, MCC or rice flour) for uniform distribution.
  • Final dosage should be based on the lot-specific Certificate of Analysis, the target serving size and the rules of your destination market.

Storage & Handling

Store tightly closed in a cool, dry place (below 25 °C) protected from moisture and light.. Keep container tightly closed; use clean, dry utensils. Shelf life is typically 24 months in unopened original packaging (see CoA).

Regulatory Note

Permitted source of iron in dietary supplements and fortified foods in the US, EU (Directive 2002/46/EC / Reg. 1925/2006 lists) and India (FSSAI); FDA requires the iron accidental-overdose warning on solid supplements. Verify form-specific listings and maximum levels in the destination market. Ferric phosphate is GRAS (21 CFR 184.1301) and listed as ferric orthophosphate in EU mineral lists.

Diet suitability: Generally vegetarian. This product is supplied as a raw ingredient for further manufacturing and is not a finished consumer product. Caution & Disclaimer

  • Iron can be harmful in excess: keep out of reach of children (accidental iron overdose is dangerous); US UL 45 mg/day elemental iron
  • Reduces absorption of levothyroxine, tetracyclines, quinolones and levodopa – separate dosing by 2–4 h
  • Not for people with haemochromatosis or iron overload unless medically advised
  • Relatively low bioavailability compared with ferrous forms – dose accordingly
