MCT Powder – Direct-Compression Grade

MCT powder is spray-dried medium-chain triglyceride oil encapsulated on a carrier such as acacia fibre, maltodextrin or soluble corn fibre, offered at 50-80% oil and in C8-rich and application grades. MCTs are absorbed and converted to ketones more rapidly than long-chain fats. It is valued in keto, energy and sports nutrition.

Direct-compression grade engineered for flow and compressibility, suitable for tablet manufacture without wet granulation.

How to Use / Dosage

• Typical daily intake: 5-30 g/day of powder, building up gradually
• Typical use level: 10-50% in keto shakes and coffee creamers; 2-10% in bars and bakery; 90-100% in straight MCT powders
• Formulation tip: Blend with standard lubricants (e.g. 0.5–1% magnesium stearate) and compress directly.
• Weigh accurately and pre-blend small quantities with a carrier (e.g. maltodextrin, MCC or rice flour) for uniform distribution.
• Final dosage should be based on the lot-specific Certificate of Analysis, the target serving size and the rules of your destination market.

Disperses in water to form a milky emulsion; oil phase soluble in oils; insoluble in cold ethanol

Storage & Handling

Store sealed below 25 °C, away from heat, light and humidity. Keep container tightly closed; use clean, dry utensils. Shelf life is typically 24 months in unopened original packaging (see CoA).

MCT is GRAS in the US and a conventional food ingredient in the EU; verify carrier-related allergen and RSPO status for palm-derived oil.
