Selenium yeast is produced by growing Saccharomyces cerevisiae in a selenium-rich medium, yielding mainly selenomethionine. Micronization supports uniform distribution of this trace-level ingredient. It is valued as an organic selenium source in antioxidant, thyroid and immune formulas.

How to Use / Dosage

• Typical daily intake: Supplying 50-200 µg/day selenium (EU UL 255 µg/day total intake)
• Typical use level: Typically 0.01-1% depending on Se content (e.g. 2,000 µg/g); used as a triturate in tablets and capsules
• Formulation tip: Fine particles can be dusty and cohesive; use flow aids where needed and handle with dust control.
• Weigh accurately and pre-blend small quantities with a carrier (e.g. maltodextrin, MCC or rice flour) for uniform distribution.
• Final dosage should be based on the lot-specific Certificate of Analysis, the target serving size and the rules of your destination market.

Storage & Handling

Store sealed in a cool, dry place away from light. Keep container tightly closed; use clean, dry utensils. Shelf life is typically 24 months in unopened original packaging (see CoA).
