Polydextrose is a synthetic soluble fibre made by polymerising glucose with small amounts of sorbitol and citric acid. It provides about 1 kcal/g, bulk and mouthfeel, and is widely used to replace sugar and fat. It is offered at 90% purity.

How to Use / Dosage

  • Typical daily intake: 4-15 g/day
  • Typical use level: 2-15% in bakery, confectionery, dairy and beverages
  • Weigh accurately and pre-blend small quantities with a carrier (e.g. maltodextrin, MCC or rice flour) for uniform distribution.
  • Final dosage should be based on the lot-specific Certificate of Analysis, the target serving size and the rules of your destination market.

Storage & Handling

Store sealed in a cool, dry place; hygroscopic - protect from humidity to prevent caking. Keep container tightly closed; use clean, dry utensils. Shelf life is typically 24 months in unopened original packaging (see CoA).

Polydextrose is an EU food additive (E1200) and recognised by FDA as dietary fibre; GRAS in the US.
