Selenium yeast is inactivated Saccharomyces cerevisiae grown in a selenium-rich medium, delivering selenium mainly as selenomethionine in a food-form matrix. This 2000 ppm grade offers a concentrated organic selenium source.

Supplied as a mineral salt / chelate for supplement, premix and fortification use; elemental mineral content is declared on the CoA.

How to Use / Dosage

• Typical daily intake: 50–200 µg/day selenium (25–100 mg of 0.2% yeast)
• Typical use level: 0.5–5% in multivitamin tablets; 5–40% in selenium capsules
• Formulation tip: Calculate dosage on elemental mineral content (see CoA), not on total salt weight.
• Weigh accurately and pre-blend small quantities with a carrier (e.g. maltodextrin, MCC or rice flour) for uniform distribution.
• Final dosage should be based on the lot-specific Certificate of Analysis, the target serving size and the rules of your destination market.

Insoluble to dispersible in water; insoluble in oils

Storage & Handling

Store tightly closed in a cool, dry place (below 25 °C) protected from moisture and light.. Keep container tightly closed; use clean, dry utensils. Shelf life is typically 24 months in unopened original packaging (see CoA).

Regulatory Note

Selenium-enriched yeast is permitted in EU supplements (Directive 2002/46/EC Annex II, with Se ≤2.5 mg/g specification) and used in US dietary supplements. Verify labelling in destination market.
