How to Use / Dosage

  • Typical daily intake: 250–1,000 mg/day elemental calcium (~38–39% Ca) with phosphorus
  • Typical use level: 0.5–2% as flow agent; 10–60% in tablets; 0.1–2% in fortified foods
  • Formulation tip: Calculate dosage on elemental mineral content (see CoA), not on total salt weight.
  • Weigh accurately and pre-blend small quantities with a carrier (e.g. maltodextrin, MCC or rice flour) for uniform distribution.
  • Final dosage should be based on the lot-specific Certificate of Analysis, the target serving size and the rules of your destination market.

Storage & Handling

Store tightly closed in a cool, dry place (below 25 °C) protected from moisture and light.. Keep container tightly closed; use clean, dry utensils. Shelf life is typically 24 months in unopened original packaging (see CoA).

Regulatory Note

Tricalcium phosphate is GRAS in the US (21 CFR 182.8217/182.1217), EU additive E341(iii) and a permitted mineral source in EU supplements. Verify limits in destination market.

Caution & Disclaimer

  • Upper limit 2,500 mg/day calcium from all sources (US/EFSA for adults); excess may cause constipation or hypercalcaemia
  • May reduce absorption of iron, zinc, thyroid hormone, bisphosphonates, tetracyclines and quinolones – separate dosing
  • Consider total phosphorus intake in renal impairment
  • Use caution in individuals with kidney stones or hyperparathyroidism; combine thoughtfully with vitamin D
