Inulin is a fructan fibre extracted from chicory root or agave, supplied at 90-95% purity and in application grades. It is a well-studied prebiotic that is fermented by beneficial bifidobacteria and adds mild sweetness and body. It is widely used for fibre enrichment, sugar and fat reduction.

Direct-compression grade engineered for flow and compressibility, suitable for tablet manufacture without wet granulation.

How to Use / Dosage

• Typical daily intake: 5-12 g/day
• Typical use level: 2-10% in bars, dairy and bakery; 20-100% in fibre powders; 1-5% in beverages
• Formulation tip: Blend with standard lubricants (e.g. 0.5–1% magnesium stearate) and compress directly.
• Weigh accurately and pre-blend small quantities with a carrier (e.g. maltodextrin, MCC or rice flour) for uniform distribution.
• Final dosage should be based on the lot-specific Certificate of Analysis, the target serving size and the rules of your destination market.

Soluble in warm water; moderately soluble in cold water; insoluble in ethanol and oils

Storage & Handling

Store sealed in a cool, dry place; hygroscopic - protect from humidity to prevent caking. Keep container tightly closed; use clean, dry utensils. Shelf life is typically 24 months in unopened original packaging (see CoA).

Chicory inulin is GRAS in the US and holds an authorised EU health claim for bowel function; accepted as dietary fibre by FDA. Prebiotic-type fibre: verify fibre definition (AOAC 2009.01/2011.25) and claim wording in destination market.
