Astaxanthin is a red keto-carotenoid produced naturally by the microalga Haematococcus pluvialis and valued as a potent lipid-soluble antioxidant. Offered here as liposomal, phospholipid-complex, microencapsulated, micronized and application-specific grades to improve dispersion, stability and uptake.

Direct-compression grade engineered for flow and compressibility, suitable for tablet manufacture without wet granulation.

How to Use / Dosage

• Typical daily intake: 4-12 mg/day
• Typical use level: Dose by active: beadlets 5-30% in capsules/tablets; oleoresin 5-20% in softgel fills
• Formulation tip: Blend with standard lubricants (e.g. 0.5–1% magnesium stearate) and compress directly.
• Weigh accurately and pre-blend small quantities with a carrier (e.g. maltodextrin, MCC or rice flour) for uniform distribution.
• Final dosage should be based on the lot-specific Certificate of Analysis, the target serving size and the rules of your destination market.

Insoluble in water; soluble in oils (as oleoresin); CWS and liposomal grades water-dispersible

Storage & Handling

Store sealed under nitrogen at 2-8 °C or below 25 °C, protected from light, oxygen and moisture; liposomal liquids refrigerated, not frozen.. Keep container tightly closed; use clean, dry utensils. Shelf life is typically 24 months in unopened original packaging (see CoA).

Regulatory Note

Algal astaxanthin is a US dietary ingredient; in the EU it is an authorised novel food with a maximum of 8 mg/day in supplements. Verify in destination market.
